The spike heels story
When the woman walks in the shoes with high spike heels many men follow her being fascinated. Women that wear shoes with heels have different walk as the woman feels being perfect, she has to walk with small steps that makes her walk even more graceful and mysterious. And of course the woman wearing shoes with heels looks taller and that means she looks more elegant.
Heels were created long time before and they had two purposes one of which was the decorative one and another was practical. Long time ago people who made shoes noticed that shoes are worn up faster in the part where it fits to the heel. That is why they started to add additional little platforms to the shoes in this part that had the purpose to make shoes long-wearing. And this platform was the ancestor of the modern spike heels.
In Ancient Greece actors also used platform shoes destined to make the actors taller. Later this kind of shoes became popular in Ancient Japan and China where these shoes were used to stop the growing of the women's feet.
The modern look of heels was born from the famous "chopine" that was something like platform shoes. And the height of the heels of such shoes varied from 14 to 60 centimetres.
Nowadays it is possible to find any heels from the small and comfortable to the most extraordinary and high.
